Supporting Women's Health Through Every Stage of Parenthood
Wellness
May is Women's Health Month, a time to focus on the importance of preventive care, mental well-being, and access to support through every stage of life. For many women, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and early parenthood are some of the most physically and emotionally demanding health experiences they will ever navigate. Having access to trusted guidance and care during these moments can make a meaningful difference.
That's one reason Transocean offers Maven, a virtual clinic designed to support employees and their families through pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting — at no additional cost to employees enrolled in a Transocean medical plan with UnitedHealthcare.
With Maven, you have access to a network of providers across 35+ specialties, including OB-GYNs, midwives, lactation consultants, mental health specialists, and more. A dedicated Care Advocate can also help guide you through every step of the journey, from pregnancy through your baby's first months.
Why Maternal Health Support Matters
Pregnancy and postpartum recovery often come with more questions, emotions, and challenges than many people expect. Beyond physical recovery and sleepless nights, new parents may also experience feeding challenges, anxiety, stress, or feelings of isolation. In fact, postpartum mood and anxiety disorders are more common than many people realize and should not go unaddressed.
Maven provides support when you need it most:
- Mental health care: Connect with licensed therapists who understand pregnancy and postpartum challenges, including anxiety and depression.
- Lactation support: Get real-time help with breastfeeding or pumping questions.
- Infant care guidance: Access sleep coaches and pediatric experts for newborn concerns.
- Partner support: Obtain resources for both parents, including guidance on paternal postpartum depression.
Maven also offers expert-reviewed articles, live and on-demand classes (like Infant CPR and Breastfeeding 101), and supportive communities where you can connect with others experiencing similar journeys.
Whether it's a late-night feeding concern, questions about returning to work, or simply needing reassurance, Maven is designed to help families feel supported every step of the way.
