Your Benefits at Work: UHC Virtual Visits
Wellness
Been putting off that doctor’s visit? Need a prescription, but don’t want to go sit in a doctor’s office? Schedule a virtual visit and talk to a doctor from the convenience and privacy of your own home, anytime day or night.
Who’s eligible for virtual visits?
If you participate in a Transocean Medical Plan, administered by UnitedHealthcare (UHC), virtual visits are part of your health plan.
Virtual visit vs. in person
Virtual visits are a great way to receive care fast and conveniently when you have a minor illness like a cold, fever, UTI, rash or stomach ache. There’s no need to drive to your doctor’s office or sit in a crowded waiting room when you can talk to a doctor via webcam or camera-equipped mobile device.
Cost of a virtual visit
The best part—virtual visits cost no more than $49, which is much less than the average Primary Care visit of $100.
How to register for a virtual visit
To schedule a virtual visit, log in to myuhc.com from your computer and select Virtual Visit. You can also access virtual visit providers from the UnitedHealthcare app on your smartphone or tablet. Select Search then Quick Care or People to access a virtual visit. From there, select from the list of state-based provider sites where you can register to receive care.
