Wellness
Whether you’re planning for the long haul or just needing some help with day-to-day financial or legal issues, Transocean’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can help. Through Optum’s EAP network of financial advisors and lawyers, you can speak to someone privately to get assistance with planning or resolving issues—or just get answers to your questions.
Managing Money, Planning Your Financial Future
While all of us need to be thinking about planning for longer-term financial goals like retirement, some of us get tripped up with day-to-day expenses and challenges, which can cause undue stress. The good news? Help is just a phone call away.
Contact the EAP to schedule a free, 60-minute phone consultation to discuss whatever financial issues you are facing with a professional and to set up an action plan for better money management. Here are just a few of the financial areas you can get assistance with:
- Budgeting
- Bankruptcy
- Debit/credit management
- Home and car loans
- Saving for college
- Planning for big purchases like homes or vacations
Through the EAP, you also have access to free articles and information to help you reach your financial goals.
Quick, Easy Access to Legal Advice
When any of us are faced with legal issues, none of it feels easy—and it can be frightening to navigate alone. Your Transocean EAP benefits can connect you and your dependents to a network of more than 22,000 experienced, licensed attorneys and 3,000 mediators located all across the U.S.
Some of the specialty areas you can speak with a network attorney about include:
- Family conflicts
- Divorce and alimony
- Wills, estates and power of attorney
- IRS worries
- Bankruptcy
- Landlord/tenant disputes
- DUI and other criminal cases
As part of your EAP benefit, you will receive a free and confidential 30-minute phone consultation with a lawyer. After your initial meeting, you have the choice of continuing to work with the EAP’s network attorney or getting a referral to a network attorney in your area, for a 25 percent discount on all legal fees. You’ll also have access to free online legal resources, such as common forms and kits for writing your own will.
